Shameful Reality of Indian Roads

Nishant Saini.

This is the name of an ex-colleague and a dear friend of mine who left this world at a young age of mid-twenties. Nishant used to commute on motor-bike from his residence in Gurgaon to his office Red Hat in Delhi and that unfortunate day, he met with an accidence .. not sure was it with truck or a trolly or something else.. I guess that is least important anyway .. What matters to us all is the fact that Nishant left his family and all of us .. with his memories... I must have heard about hundreads of road mishaps in my life of 28 years .. never did it look the life of someone who was in my close circle.. I think what they say is right.. that unless the shoe pinches your own feet, you'll not know the pain.. Now I know the pain.. Now I know how much risky our roads have become.. and the life is getting cheaper ... People drive on city roads like crazy bulls.. specially the truck & lorry drivers .. Everyone tries to exhibit power by dominating smaller vehicles .. and in this mad rush, some innocent people have to lose they life.. Nishant was a passionate bike rider.. he used to like biking a lot.. but never did i see him riding rashly (as much as i know of him)... he definitely was in the list of people who give their best effort to drive safely on roads.. and yet he had to pay the price of someone else's mistake.. so sad..

It's so heart-breaking to think that his mom lost his father few years ago and now she lost him too.. Nishant'll always be there in our thoughts.. but for the loss that his family has faced, only God can heal their wounds,, May God give strenght to Nishant's family.
